Cherry Hill Power win Soccer Tournament

Charlotte’s Lake Norman Carolina Eclipse finish as runner ups.
The Score Showcase Invitational Soccer Tournament concluded Tuesday morning at Greensboro’s Bryan Park Soccer Complex with New Jersey’s Cherry Hill Power posting a 2-0 shutout over North Carolina Lake Norman Eclipse to win the 17/18 under Score Showcase Invitational Soccer Tournament championship. Cherry Hill scored late in the first half on a goal by midfielder Barbara Stanley and led at the half 1-0. With ten minutes remaining, midfielder Melissa Arnold added the Power’s final goal. Cherry Hill finished the tournament with a record of 7-0 in the girls’ 17/18 bracket while Carolina Eclipse closed with a mark of 5-1-1 with Audrey Boyle accepting the runner up trophy for the Charlotte Carolina Eclipse.
